Welcome to this HEARnet Learning module

This course was developed by Deafness Forum of Australia to provide nurses and other care staff in aged care and hospitals with the knowledge and skills to assist their hearing impaired clients.

The videos featured in this module were filmed in a residential aged care facility. The comments made by the hearing impaired residents; the communication techniques recommended; and the hearing aid management skills demonstrated are applicable to adult hearing impaired clients generally.

This online learning module is endorsed by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF). Completion attracts 1 CPD hour.
